Fibonacci quilt nearing completion

The Fibonacci quilt came back from the quilter a few weeks ago and this today we spent a few hours getting the binding made and halfway attached. I need to pick up some black thread for the front-side stitching, then it will be done. Quilting with Nick seems to go much faster, probably partly because I don't get distracted as much, but also because it's way easier to manage a big piece of fabric with two people.

Front side - four Fibonacci spirals around a black square.

Back side - a sunset panel surrounded by extra fabric pieces from the front.

Crisis averted

The helpful sewing machine woman helpfully pointed out that we had mine threaded wrong and it works just fine. Somewhere in the needle changing and oiling and lint cleaning we fixed the original problem, only to disguise it with a new problem. But now it's all better!

I celebrated by getting couple long seams done for the back of the Fibonacci quilt. It's coming together pretty well. The only picture I have is from before we sewed the top together. I don't want to unfold it just for a new one. It's big and unwieldy and Oliver always tries to stand on it. I'll get a shot before I send it to be quilted.
